Job summary

Intelligent Technical Solutions seeks a Senior Security Advisor to lead vCISO engagements for a portfolio of clients in the United States. You will own regulatory compliance programs, oversee risk management, and provide ongoing advisory services while coordinating with security engineers and SOC teams.

The role demands expertise across multiple frameworks (NIST SP 800-53/171, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001/27002) and strong client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• CISSP active and in good standing required.
• CMMC CCP active; CCA required within the first 12 months of hire.
• Additional certifications (CISM, CRISC, CISA, GIAC, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
• Eight years of progressive information security experience, including at least three years in compliance or vCISO work.
• U.S. person status required due to access to CUI; remote work within U.S. time zones with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Client Advisory & vCISO delivery for a portfolio of engagements with regular updates and reporting.
• Lead CMMC readiness engagements, including NIST SP 800-171 assessments and SSP/POA&M work.
• Coordinate security program guidance across multiple frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, etc.).
• Manage risk assessments, evidence collection, and remediation tracking with clients and teams.
• Support incident response and contribute to playbooks and postmortems.
