Job summary

Echelon Risk + Cyber seeks a remote Director, vCISO Services to lead client engagements while growing and coaching a team of vCISOs. You will maintain the highest standards of integrity and deliver strategic cyber advice across multiple client engagements.

This role blends hands-on advisory work with people leadership, partnering with GRC and Security Engineering teams to mature service delivery as the practice scales, while operating from anywhere in the USA.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as Director, vCISO Services.
• Proven leadership of security advisory teams.
• Strong client-facing, strategic planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead a team of vCISOs and vCISO Managers, overseeing performance and career development.
• Establish and drive a consistent leadership cadence with 1:1s, team meetings, and engagement reviews.
• Develop individual development plans, create enablement materials and certification paths.
• Define and own KPI sets for the practice and monitor utilization, engagement health and client satisfaction.
• Build recurring reporting for executives on performance, capacity and risk accounts; use in coaching.
• Lead hiring for the vCISO practice.
