Job summary

DLA Piper seeks an attorney to join its corporate group through the Professional Track Attorney program. The role focuses on venture capital financings, M&A, and governance for emerging growth companies, with remote work available across the United States.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of relevant experience and will bring strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills to collaborate with partners and clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5–8 years of Emerging Growth/Venture Capital experience.
• Direct AmLaw 100 law firm experience preferred.
• Familiarity with NVCA, seriesseed.com and Y Combinator.
• Experience negotiating and managing preferred stock financings, bridge financings, and SAFE financings.
• Ability to manage due diligence on M&A transactions and venture financings.
• Experience advising clients on various corporate governance matters.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with partners, lawyers, clients, staff and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer calls, and respond to correspondence on deadlines.
• Provide timely, accurate, and well-reasoned work product.
• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and staff.
• Travel as required; participate in client meetings and business development.
