Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking an attorney to join its corporate group through the Professional Track Attorney program. This remote role focuses on emerging growth companies and their investors, requiring at least 5 years of venture capital, M&A, and governance experience.

The position supports clients across the United States with flexible remote work options and exposure to NVCA, Series Seed, and Y Combinator matters, plus broad governance duties.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of Emerging Growth/Venture Capital experience is expected.
• Experience with M&A transactions and governance matters is preferred.
• Familiarity with NVCA, Series Seed, and Y Combinator documents is beneficial.
• Ability to negotiate financings and manage due diligence across deals.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with partners, clients, staff, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, respond to inquiries, and meet deadlines.
• Analyze complex legal issues and apply research to facts.
• Provide timely, accurate, and well-reasoned work product.
• Mentor junior lawyers and supervise staff.
