Job summary

DLA Piper, a bold and collaborative firm, seeks an attorney to join its corporate group through the Professional Track Attorney program. This role focuses on emerging growth companies, venture capital financings, M&A, and governance matters, with the position fully remote across U.S.

offices. Ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, a JD, and a proven ability to advise clients, manage due diligence, and collaborate with partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Emerging Growth/Venture Capital experience.
• Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience preferred.
• Familiarity with standard emerging growth and venture capital forms (NVCA, seriesseed.com, YC).
• Experience negotiating and managing preferred stock, bridge, and SAFE financings.
• Ability to manage due diligence on M&A transactions and venture financings.
• Experience advising clients on corporate governance matters.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate with partners, lawyers, clients, staff, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer calls, and reply to correspondence promptly.
• Analyze complex legal issues and apply research to facts.
• Provide timely, accurate, and well-reasoned work product.
• Be available to ensure timely delivery of services, including evenings and weekends.
• Travel as required for client meetings, advocacy, or business development.
