Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking an attorney to join its corporate group as part of our Professional Track Attorney program. This attorney will focus on working with emerging growth companies and the institutional investors that support them. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in venture capital financings, M&A, and day-to-day corporate governance matters.

This position is fully remote and open to all U.S. office locations.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of Emerging Growth/VC experience at a major law firm.
• Experience negotiating and managing preferred stock financings, bridge financings, and SAFE financings.
• Familiarity with NVCA, seriesseed.com, and Y Combinator documents.
• Advising clients on corporate governance matters.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with partners, lawyers, clients, staff, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables and meet deadlines with quality work.
• Analyze complex legal issues and provide well-reasoned work product.
• Mentor junior lawyers and supervise staff.
• Travel as required by the Firm or client.
