Charting from home may be required, with travel up to 10% to support other Loyal Source clinics. The role emphasizes independent work, collaboration with QA and healthcare professionals, HIPAA compliance, and timely submission of findings.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active NP license.
Minimum 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience.
Experience conducting medical disability examinations preferred.
BLS certification required, renewals.
Military experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct Comprehensive Medical Disability Examinations, reviewing history and performing focused exams.
Review medical records and diagnostic results to understand health history.
Render objective medical opinions on veteran health issues and work ability.
Use case management systems to organize workload and submit findings.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain additional information.
Document examination findings in VA-compliant reports and recommendations.
Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all duties.
Travel up to 10% to support other Loyal Source clinics.
Follow VA guidelines and ensure timely submission of examinations.
