Job summary

VertexOne is seeking an Implementation Specialist II to lead client engagements through the SaaS implementation lifecycle. You will analyze client needs, translate them into functional specs, coordinate design, testing, training, and documentation while managing multiple projects and stakeholders.

You will liaison with clients, project managers, and developers to address gaps, ensure end-to-end delivery, and promote best practices in AMI analytics, digitization, and call-center optimization

Qualifications

• Experience in Utility CIS Billing or ERP systems.
• 4+ years as a Business Analyst or Implementation Specialist in software development, producing BRDs, design docs, specs and use cases.
• Proficiency in SQL (SELECT, joins, subqueries, data filtering).
• Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid and relational database principles with incident tools like Jira.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Visio; experience with AI tools for data analysis is a plus.
• Experience with Web APIs and batch processes is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and manage multiple projects with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation process for clients with business and technical focus.
• Analyze and model business requirements to create technical requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional and design specifications.
• Research gaps between requirements and current functionality.
• Develop and review requirements, processes, and design specifications.
• Lead team collaboration and project oversight with stakeholders.
• Coordinate between clients/users and developers for clear documentation.
• Prepare system functional specs and use case documentation.
• Lead high-level design and best-practice sessions.
• Create test cases and perform testing on changes.
• Perform system, functional and integration testing to ensure quality.
• Investigate production issues and assist with troubleshooting.
• Support all SDLC phases and work with third-party vendors.
• Escalate issues to VertexOne management or clients as needed.
