Job summary

eX² Technology is seeking a Utility Locator to support underground facility construction with a focus on damage prevention and protecting infrastructure. The role involves responding to dig ticket requests, locating and marking utilities, and complying with state/federal regulations.

This is a remote position with duties nationwide, based in the Jackson, GA area. Ideal candidates will locate underground facilities using industry standards and locating devices, work well in a team, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with citizens, company, contractor representatives and customers.
• Good organizational skills with ability to handle many varied tasks at once.
• Knowledge and understanding of safe worksite practices.
• Experience with construction and installation of below-grade infrastructure.
• Experience with existing utility standard designs.

Responsibilities

• Compare field conditions with records to identify errors.
• Verify locations of client facilities within dig extents.
• Investigate damages and create required documentation.
• Perform work safely.
• Protect client facilities as directed by client.
• Understand contractor means and methods for subsurface installations.
