Job summary

LineQuest LLC in the United States is seeking a detail-oriented Locator to join our field team. The Locate Technician will identify and mark underground utilities to support safe excavation and construction activities, working outdoors across assigned areas.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and the ability to interpret maps and blueprints. You will operate locating equipment, communicate with contractors, and maintain accurate reports while adhering to safety

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in utility locating or related field preferred.
Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Locate and mark underground utilities such as gas, water, electric, and telecommunications lines using specialized equipment.
Interpret maps, blueprints, and technical drawings to identify utility locations.
Communicate effectively with contractors, utility companies, and other stakeholders to coordinate locating activities.
Maintain accurate records of located utilities and provide detailed reports.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all locating activities.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of locating equipment.
Respond promptly to locate requests and complete assignments within designated timeframes.
