Job summary

Cogenthub is seeking a Controller US Client Accounting (Work from Home) to manage multi-client accounting operations in a remote setup. You will lead end-to-end accounting, ensure accurate financial statements, and uphold client SLAs with strong governance and process improvements.

The role requires leadership, deep financial expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-client environment while coordinating with external auditors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• CA strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant accounting and financial management experience.
• Experience managing multiple US-based clients and SLAs.
• Prior experience in retail or restaurant industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple client engagements.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
• Drive structured month-end close processes with reconciliations and review controls.
• Maintain accountability for client SLAs and deliverables.
• Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with actionable insights.
• Manage and mentor accounting teams across functions.
• Oversee hiring, training, performance management, and career development.
• Foster a high-performance, client-focused culture.
• Identify and implement automation/process improvement initiatives.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes.
