Job summary

PowerGrid Services is seeking a Corporate Payroll Manager, Union, to lead payroll operations across multiple business units and states, with a focus on complex union payroll administration.

You will manage CBAs, union dues, fringe benefits, prevailing wage, and certified payroll reporting, while standardizing processes and ensuring compliance.

This role partners with Finance, Accounting, Operations and HR to drive accuracy, efficiency, and scalable payroll delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing multi-state payroll operations.
• Minimum 7 years administering complex union payrolls with multiple CBAs.
• Extensive experience with payroll systems: ADP, Paylocity, Foundations, UKG Pro, QuickBooks, MS Dynamics.
• Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple units and states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and CBAs.
• Administer multi-union payroll functions, including union dues, fringe benefits, pension contributions, and certified payroll.
• Ensure adherence to CBAs, wage schedules, work rules, and prevailing wage regulations.
• Review payroll transactions: regular payrolls, tax adjustments, bonuses, off-cycle payrolls, ACH payments.
• Lead payroll system implementations, integrations, upgrades, conversions, and automation initiatives.
• Develop standardized payroll policies, controls, and documentation.
• Coordinate internal and external payroll audits and prepare management reports.
• Partner with Finance, HR, and Operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
