Job summary

WeDriveU is seeking a Payroll Director to lead payroll operations for a diverse, multi-state workforce. You will oversee all payroll functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance with CBAs, and alignment with legal requirements. The role emphasizes union payroll expertise, system integrations, and process improvement.

You will build a collaborative, high-performing team while partnering with HR, Finance, and IT to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years in payroll leadership in complex, multi-entity orgs.
• Experience managing union payroll, preferably in transportation, hospitality, or travel.
• Proven Workday implementation and optimization experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll teams across divisions/regions for accurate, timely processing.
• Manage union benefit contributions and wage deductions per CBAs.
• Oversee payroll governance and internal controls for regulatory compliance.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to streamline and integrate payroll systems.
• Drive continuous improvement and rapid resolution of payroll issues.
• Maintain SOPs and align with evolving business needs.
• Stay current on payroll legislation and communicate updates.
