Job summary

Sustainable World, Inc. is seeking an Underwriting Specialist to drive profitable growth by evaluating and underwriting new and renewal accounts.

You will collaborate with producers to negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, while ensuring policy documentation and governance guidelines are met. The role may be remote or hybrid in MN and is a market-facing position requiring broker meetings in the territory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of direct underwriting experience.
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Insurance Management, or Business Administration preferred.
• Professional insurance qualification (e.g. CPCU) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets.
• Negotiate price and terms with producers.
• Ensure contract certainty at inception and proper documentation.
• Utilize pricing tools and ensure binding of FAC Reinsurance.
• Maintain accurate policy documentation and file upkeep.
• Support policy administration and credit control processes.
• Train, develop and coach less experienced staff.
