Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of underwriting experience.
• Travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and underwrites new and renewal business per guidelines.
• Analyzes risk data to determine coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Collaborates with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients to gather information.
• Maintains documentation of underwriting decisions in compliance with regulations.
• Communicates underwriting decisions to internal teams, agents, and brokers.
• Keeps informed on industry trends and market conditions.
• Develops relationships to generate and retain profitable business.
