Jobgether, in partnership with a healthcare provider, seeks an Underpayment Analyst to remotely analyze hospital claims and identify discrepancies in reimbursements. You will collaborate with insurers and internal teams to resolve underpayments, supporting revenue integrity and compliance throughout a structured 90‑day training program.

The role emphasizes meticulous analysis, adherence to HIPAA, and strong communication with carriers. Remote work is offered to eligible U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement methodologies.
• Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, or Meditech is desirable.
• Ability to interpret Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial policies.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hospital claims to identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursements.
• Investigate underpayments and variances by examining coding, billing, and payer policy applications.
• Contact insurance carriers to obtain missing information and clarify payment decisions.
• Prepare documentation to support reimbursement recovery.
• Maintain records of investigations and outcomes for audits.
• Interpret payer guidelines to support accurate claim assessments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Participate in team meetings to improve workflows and recovery strategies.
• Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
