Jobgether is seeking an Underpayment Analyst to join a healthcare revenue integrity team in a remote capacity. You will analyze hospital claims, identify underpayments, and work with insurers to recover reimbursement, supported by a structured 90-business-day training program.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, rigorous documentation, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to improve accuracy and efficiency across reimbursement workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of healthcare billing, medical coding, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial policies.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and CMS regulations.
• Experience with healthcare billing systems is desirable.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Prior remote work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hospital claims to identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursements.
• Investigate underpayments and variances by examining coding and billing issues.
• Contact insurance carriers to obtain missing information and resolve cases.
• Prepare documentation to support reimbursement recovery (letters, emails, reports).
• Maintain records of investigations, trends, and outcomes for audit readiness.
• Apply Medicare/Medicaid/commercial guidelines to claim assessments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and carriers to resolve issues.
• Support process improvements and share insights with colleagues.
