Job summary

Stride, Inc. seeks a part-time, remote Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) contractor (1099) to support students with visual impairments across multiple schools. The role requires state licensure in Visual Impairments and collaboration with families, teachers, and the IEP team.

Responsibilities include developing progress reports, utilizing assistive technology, and maintaining compliance with regulations while delivering engaging educational experiences from a home office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years public school experience as TVI.
• State educator license in Visual Impairments required.
• Ability to work independently and manage a part-time schedule.
• Experience teaching in online/remote environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to eligible students with visual impairments per IEP.
• Collaborate with IEP team and families to schedule sessions.
• Maintain records, progress notes, and state-required documentation.
• Use assistive tech and accessible materials to support learning.
• Serve as Teacher of Record for assigned caseload.
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff.
