Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a part-time Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) contractor to deliver services to eligible students in a virtual classroom. The position requires state certification for Visual Impairments and operates as an Independent Consultant (1099).

Responsibilities include collaborating with IEP teams and maintaining required documentation. The role is remote with a flexible schedule, typically 8am–5pm, and involves working with multiple schools across states.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in public school environment as a TVI.
• State educator license in Visual Impairments or related field.
• Ability to work independently with at least 20 hours per week.
• Experience teaching in an online/virtual environment.
• MS365 proficiency.
• Ability to clear required background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to eligible students per IEPs in a virtual setting.
• Communicate with parents and teachers to schedule attendance and participation.
• Develop progress reports and state-specific documentation.
• Use assistive tech and accessible materials to support students.
• Maintain compliance with state and school regulations.
• Serve as Teacher of Record for assigned caseload.
