Job summary

Stride, Inc. seeks a part-time Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) contractor to support students with visual impairments in a virtual setting. You will collaborate with the IEP team and families, delivering services, documenting progress, and ensuring accommodations are in place.

The Independent Consultant (1099) role requires a state TVI license and public-school experience, with remote work across the United States and daytime hours aligned to school schedules.

Qualifications

• Requires state educator license in Visual Impairments or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in public school environment as TVI.
• Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule (20+ hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Deliver services as determined by IEP team.
• Coordinate with parents and teachers to promote attendance and participation.
• Prepare progress reports and required documentation.
• Provide accommodations using assistive technology and accessible materials.
• Maintain compliance with state, school, and company regulations.
• Serve as Teacher of Record (TOR) for assigned caseload.
• Document interactions and progress for compliance and reference.
