Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a state-certified Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) to work as a part-time, independent consultant (1099) in a remote, virtual environment. The TVI will serve eligible students across multiple schools, guided by IEPs, with hours Mon–Fri between 8 am and 5 pm.

The role requires collaboration with families and educators, preparation of progress reports, and mastery of assistive technologies and accessible materials to support student learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in public school environment as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI).
• Certificates and Licenses: State specific educator license in area of Visual Impairments or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to eligible students with visual impairments based on IEPs.
• Collaborate with IEP team to develop schedules and ensure regular attendance and participation.
• Maintain records, progress reports, and required documentation.
• Instruct students and families in use of assistive technologies and accessible materials.
• Serve as Teacher of Record for assigned caseload within a remote/virtual setting.
