Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting with a CPA, JD or MS in Taxation and at least 5 years in public accounting tax, with strong analytical and presentation skills. Remote within the US, with California consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required.
• CPA license, JD or MS in Taxation required.
• At least 5 years in a public accounting tax department with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Review returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations for accuracy.
• Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
• Handle and resolve tax controversies.
• Oversee complete tax research projects for diverse clients and industries.
• Manage multiple engagements with teams to meet deadlines.
• Mentor staff and participate in professional development initiatives.
