Withum is seeking a Trust and Estate Tax Manager to lead all aspects of tax engagements, supervise staff, and build client relationships across diverse industries. The role collaborates with senior CPAs and industry leaders to deliver accurate, timely tax services.

The position emphasizes strong analytical and communication skills, with opportunities to engage in tax planning, research, and staff development in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license, JD or Masters of Science in Taxation is required.
• At least 5 years of prior experience in a public accounting tax department.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Strong client service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships and corporations for accuracy.
• Research and draft memos on complex tax matters.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
• Handle and resolve tax controversies.
• Oversee tax research projects for diverse clients and industries.
• Manage multiple engagements with various teams to meet deadlines.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to staff.
