Job summary

Withum's Trust and Estate Tax practice seeks a seasoned Tax Manager to lead engagements, supervise staff, and build client relationships across individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax matters. You will mentor team members and coordinate with colleagues across the firm to deliver timely, accurate tax solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting plus a CPA license; JD or MS in Taxation is required, with at least 5 years in public accounting and proven leadership,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license, JD or Masters of Science in Taxation is required.
• At least 5 years of prior experience in public accounting tax with leadership of engagements and supervision of staff.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills are essential.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with ability to build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Review individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns for accuracy.
• Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
• Handle and resolve tax controversies.
• Oversee tax research projects for diverse clients and industries.
• Manage multiple engagements with various teams to meet deadlines.
• Provide mentorship and conduct discussions to support staff development.
• Participate as an instructor or discussion leader in professional development programs.
