Job summary

WithumSmith+Brown in the United States is seeking a Trust and Estate Tax Manager to lead tax engagements, supervise staff, and foster client relationships across industries.

You will review returns, draft planning memos, and identify opportunities while collaborating with CPAs and partners. A CPA or equivalent and 5+ years in public tax are required; relocation not required.

Qualifications

• Must have bachelor degree in accounting or equivalent.
• CPA/JD/MS Taxation required or equivalent license.
• At least 5 years in tax in public accounting with leadership experience.
• Strong analytical and technical tax skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise tax engagements for diverse clients.
• Review and mentor staff on tax returns and planning.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
• Manage and resolve tax controversies.
• Oversee multiple engagements with teams to meet deadlines.
• Provide input in staff development and training.
