Vail Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our acute care team within the hospital system, focusing on triage, patient care coordination, and documentation in the EHR. The role emphasizes KPI-driven workflows and collaborative patient care.

Applicants must have 3 years of clinical experience, knowledge of disease processes, nursing assessment skills, HIPAA/OSHA compliance, and an active Colorado RN or compact-state license.

Formación

• 3 years clinical experience with patient care and admin duties preferred.
• Knowledge of disease processes and growth/development of all ages required.
• Nursing assessment skills with basic nursing theory.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluates and assesses patient health care needs using triage protocols and guidelines.
• Participates in weekly huddles to review KPI and ensure KPI adherence (including call times).
• Obtains input from provider to determine best clinical course of action.
• Documents symptoms, nursing assessment, advice given and patient response in the EHR.
• Follows policies and protocols to improve patient outcomes and access to care.
• Coordinate and schedule same-day and future appointments.
• Manage prescription refills per protocol.
• Provide patient education on chronic disease, prevention, and family health.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities as assigned.
