Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a licensed RN to join their team, offering responsibilities in triage, patient assessment, and care coordination within a high-volume environment. You’ll document in the EHR, collaborate with providers, and support CPC+ Care Coordination processes.

Applicants should have Colorado compact or state RN licensure, 3 years of clinical experience, and strong knowledge of HIPAA rules. The pay range is hourly, with comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3 years clinical experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred.
• Must have knowledge of disease processes, normal growth and development of all age groups required.
• Nursing assessment skills with/without visual inspection utilizing basic nursing theory required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and assesses patient’s health care needs based on patient’s signs and symptoms utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines.
• Obtains input from the provider as needed to determine best clinical course of action.
• Accurately documents symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller response.
• Documents in electronic health record (EHR), triage assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation, follow-up.
• Coordinate and schedule same-day and future appointments on the provider schedules.
