Job summary

nVent is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead on-site coordination for large-scale bus duct installation projects across North America. The role requires travel to customer sites, overseeing field teams, and coordinating with customers and subcontractors to ensure safe, on-time project delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of field project coordination experience, reads construction drawings, and is proficient with MS Office and scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 3+ years of experience leading or coordinating field-based project activities at customer sites.
• Experience supporting project execution at client locations, including schedule coordination and customer communication.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 75% across the country.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documentation.
• Solid understanding of OSHA requirements and job-site safety practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as nVent's primary on-site representative for large-scale engineered bus duct system installation projects.
• Coordinate daily project activities involving customers, subcontractors, field service technicians, project managers, and internal support teams.
• Lead project site coordination and customer progress meetings with regular updates on schedules, risks, and issues.
• Monitor project schedules, staffing, equipment, material readiness, and progress throughout execution.
• Review drawings and project documentation to support effective project delivery and customer experience.
• Make sound field decisions balancing safety, schedule, customer commitments, and costs.
• Complete daily reports and maintain accurate project records.
• Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all sites.
