Job summary

nVent is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to serve as on-site representative for large-scale engineered bus duct system installation projects across North America. The role requires coordinating with customers, subcontractors, field technicians, and project managers to drive safe, on-time delivery.

The position is remote with approximately 75% overnight travel, including extended stays at customer sites; preferred candidates in the Southeast USA but open to travel-friendly locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading or coordinating field-based projects at client sites.
• Experience coordinating schedules, subcontractors, and customer communications.
• Ability to read construction drawings and project documents.
• Strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced field environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and timekeeping processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site representative for large-scale installation projects.
• Coordinate daily activities among customers, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Lead site coordination meetings and manage schedules, risks, and issues.
• Monitor progress, materials, and equipment readiness.
• Prepare daily reports and maintain project records.
