Job summary

nVent is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead on-site project coordination for large-scale bus duct system installations across North America. You will be the primary on-site representative, coordinating customers, subcontractors, field technicians, and project teams to deliver safe, on-time execution in the field.

Expect extended stays at customer sites, frequent overnight travel (up to 75%), and a role that requires strong planning, communication, and adherence to safety and quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading or coordinating field-based projects at customer sites.
• Experience coordinating schedules, subcontractors and customer communications.
• Ability to read construction drawings and project documents.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and field safety practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project scheduling/reporting tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% overnight across the country.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site representative for large-scale bus duct installations across North America.
• Coordinate daily project activities with customers, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Lead site coordination and progress meetings; manage schedules and risks.
• Monitor workforce, equipment, material readiness, and project progress.
• Review drawings and project docs to support delivery and customer experience.
• Make sound field decisions balancing safety, schedule, costs, and commitments.
• Complete daily reports and maintain accurate project records.
• Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
