Job summary

Lakeview Behavioral Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for a full-time remote role. You will conduct trauma-informed assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement EMDR/TF-CBT therapies while coordinating with psychiatrists and the care team.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field.
• Current licensure as LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in MA.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations and provide patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments evaluating trauma histories, strengths and challenges.
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to recovery using evidence-based modalities.
• Implement therapeutic interventions including EMDR and TF-CBT.
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions to build coping skills and peer support.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary staff for integrated care.
• Provide crisis intervention during traumatic events to ensure patient safety.
• Educate patients and families on trauma responses and coping strategies.
• Maintain confidential documentation in compliance with laws and ethics.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings.
• Stay informed about advances in trauma therapy to enhance practice.
