Lakeview Behavioral Health in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Trauma-Focused Mental Health Counselor to provide high-quality mental health services remotely to adults and families dealing with PTSD, trauma, and related disorders. Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with empathy and a non-judgmental demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ backgrounds, trauma histories, and specific therapeutic needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and long-term mental wellness.
• Utilize evidence-based modalities including EMDR and TF-CBT to facilitate healing.
• Deliver individual therapy sessions to help clients process trauma and build coping skills.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions to strengthen community and provide a safe space for shared experiences.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed for urgent trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and families about trauma symptoms, coping strategies, and available resources.
• Maintain precise, confidential documentation in line with HIPAA and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular case consultations to enhance collaborative care and professional development.
• Stay informed on latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.
