Job summary

C&M Associates seeks a Transportation System Data Analyst and Modeler III in a role that supports remote work from anywhere in the U.S. The candidate will analyze multimodal datasets, build forecasting models, and apply AI-based algorithms to improve corridor performance.

You will collect and clean data, apply computer vision for traffic video analysis, and design models to compare toll vs non-toll impacts. Expect collaboration with clients and senior project teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science plus 2 years of data analysis experience.
• Two years of experience in developing complex data models and forecasting.
• Two years in image & video processing.
• Two years of Python, Java or C programming experience.
• Knowledge of ML/AI workflows, data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Experience with large datasets, data mining, and data visualization.
• Proficiency in Python data analysis tools (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) and SQL databases.
• Strong technical communication in written and oral formats.

Responsibilities

• Analyze multimodal transportation datasets and develop, validate, and operationalize forecasting models.
• Develop and apply ML/AI-based algorithms to enhance traffic analysis and forecasting.
• Collect, clean, and integrate multi-source data to model baseline traffic flows.
• Develop computer vision techniques for vehicle detection and counting in traffic video data.
• Establish automated data acquisition and processing pipelines for vehicle counting.
• Design ML models to forecast traffic patterns and toll vs non-toll impact.
• Perform advanced transportation modeling using Cube and QGIS.
• Coordinate technical tasks, manage work plans, and guide team delivery.
• Lead big data pipelines for ETL, QA/QC, and feature engineering.
• Serve as technical liaison with clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee project data activities, timelines, and QA/QC benchmarks.
• Travel up to 10% domestically; remote work permissible across the U.S.
