Job summary

New River Electrical Corporation seeks a seasoned Manager, Transmission Line Engineering to lead the creation of an internal transmission line engineering organization. Initially, oversee external partners while establishing standards, templates, and processes for a future self-perform team.

The role reports to Engineering Services and emphasizes leadership, strategic growth, and mentoring engineers to deliver safe, on-schedule designs across projects in energy delivery and construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; PE license preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in engineering design or technical leadership in energy delivery/electric utility.
• Proven track record managing P&L and delivering results in a complex environment.
• Experience in electric utility transmission line engineering (69kV–765kV) and NESC/IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead phased development of internal transmission line engineering organization.
• Coordinate with external consultants and set engineering standards and processes.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Create training programs and knowledge transfer for internal staff.
• Build a high-performing team and scalable in-house capabilities.
