Job summary
ICF is seeking a Transmission Line Engineering Manager to lead and grow our transmission line engineering practice, building it from the ground up as a complement to our substation practice. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team, drive technical excellence, client relationships, and strategic growth across nationwide utility projects.
The role emphasizes leadership, staffing, project oversight, and financial performance within a remote, nationally distributed team.
Qualifications
- B.S. in engineering and PE licensure.
- 12+ years with electric utility, EPC, or engineering consulting.
- 10+ years of transmission line engineering experience.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and project portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of transmission line engineers and designers.
- Manage staffing, hiring, and resource forecasting.
- Oversee delivery of projects safely, on schedule, within budget.
- Provide technical leadership and promote best practices.
- Establish engineering standards and QA/QC processes.
- Drive business growth and client relationships.
