Job summary

Iteris, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Coordinator to serve as a primary liaison among responders and agencies to coordinate incident response and keep traffic moving safely. The role is primarily remote with occasional visits to the Salem, VA office.

You will lead regional TIM efforts, respond to major incidents, and build partnerships with law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other agencies. Strong communication, analysis, and coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass state and federal background checks.
• Valid Virginia driver's license with satisfactory record.
• Pre-employment drug screening and random testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional traffic incident management and emergency response coordination.
• Respond to major incidents and support quick-clearance operations.
• Build partnerships with law enforcement, fire, EMS, towing, and emergency management.
• Coordinate traffic control, detours, and roadway recovery activities.
• Analyze operational performance and develop improvement recommendations.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, training, and incident reviews.
• Support weather response, emergency preparedness, and special events.
• Monitor contractor performance and support program objectives.
• Promote roadway safety, mobility, and reliable transportation system performance.
