Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Trade Compliance Lead Associate to support the Trade Compliance team in the Legal Department. The role involves advising on ITAR, EAR, and FTR compliance for U.S.

government programs across intelligence, space, cyber, defense, and civilian markets. The position is primarily remote with occasional on-site work in designated cites, and requires US citizenship and ability to obtain a TS clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience or Master's with 3 years of related experience.
• Experience preferred with government contractor trades compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience entering/export authorizations in Oracle GTM/DECCS/SNAP-R/AES is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply ITAR, EAR, and FTR knowledge to research, analyze, interpret, and advise on compliance with U.S. trade laws.
• Prepare, submit, and administer export authorization requests (Technical Assistance Agreements, Commerce licenses, ITAR exemptions, EAR exceptions).
• Review and approve international shipments, foreign travel, and foreign visitor requests for licensing compliance.
• Review proposals, contracts, and purchase orders and participate in programmatic technical discussions.
• Conduct export compliance training for new and existing employees.
• Maintain export/import records in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policy.

Education
