Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Trade Compliance Manager for our legal department to support ITAR/EAR regulatory compliance across government programs in the DMV area. The role emphasizes ensuring compliance for exports, licenses, and related activities in a hybrid office setting.

Applicants should have 10+ years in trade compliance with a government contractor and possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. US citizenship is required for eligibility.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of trade compliance experience with a government contractor.
• Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills with a track record of meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience entering and managing export authorizations in GTM, DECCS, SNAP-R and CBP AES.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, interpret and advise on ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and FTR compliance for internal departments.
• Prepare, submit, and manage export licenses, TAAs, and licenses; assess ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions.
• Eligible to serve as an Empowered Official as defined by ITAR.
• Review and approve international shipments, foreign travel, and visits; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review proposals, contracts, and purchase orders; participate in program discussions.
• Maintain export and import records per U.S. regulations and company policy.
• Perform other trade-compliance duties as assigned.
