Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Trade Compliance Manager to join our Legal Department. This role supports US government contracts across intelligence, space, cyber, defense, and civilian markets.

The position is primarily remote with occasional on-site work, and candidates must reside in the following locations: DC, MD, Northern Virginia Metro area, Annapolis Junction, Melbourne, Huntsville, Colorado Springs, Aurora. Qualifications

• 10+ years in trade compliance, with government contractor experience.
• Detail oriented with high accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience entering/managing export authorizations in GTM, DECCS, SNAP-R and CBP’s AES.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, interpret ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and FTR to advise departments on compliance with US trade laws.
• Prepare, submit, and administer export licenses, TAAs, and Commerce licenses; verify ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions.
• Eligible to serve as an Empowered Official as defined by ITAR.
• Review and approve international shipments, foreign travel, and visitors; ensure compliance with licenses/regulations.
• Review proposals, contracts and purchase orders; participate in programmatic discussions for relevant programs and technologies.
• Maintain export/import records per US regulations and company policy.
• Perform other trade compliance duties as assigned.
