Compass Integrated Services seeks a Title Officer to join its Title Production team in a remote role serving the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area. You will review public records, interpret real estate documents, and make insurability decisions while collaborating with escrow officers, underwriters and other teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in title insurance, Colorado license, and strong title examination knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in the title insurance business.
• Colorado Title Insurance License required.
• Strong understanding of title examination process and procedures, related documentation, and their effect upon title.
• Fully versed in Commercial, Residential and Acreage examinations, Colorado.
• Proficient in region-specific title plant software; Deed Plotter; researching County Government websites.
• Strong research/investigation skills and understanding of legal terms; underwriter standards, guidelines and rate filings; statutes and regulations affecting title insurance and real property.
• Attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal/written skills and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough search and examine public records to assess property’s title status.
• Review documents affecting title such as mortgages, deeds, probate records, trusts.
• Read and interpret real estate documents, maps and surveys.
• Make insurability decisions and respond to objection letters and indemnity requests.
• Collaborate with escrow officers, underwriters and title team members.
• Maintain client relationships and support Title Production Manager.
