Peraton is seeking a Tier 1 Help Desk Technician to join our team supporting a Department of Energy (DOE) customer. The role provides first-line technical support for Windows desktops, printers, and common workplace devices, resolving software and access issues while delivering strong customer service.

This position is fully remote, with responsibilities including ticket logging, timely resolution, and escalation when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, 1 year IT support experience.
• U.S. citizen eligible for DOE clearance.
• Basic Windows OS, apps, hardware troubleshooting.
• Familiar with IT ticketing processes and escalation.
• Strong customer service and clear communication.
• Ability to prioritize and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line Windows desktop support for end users.
• Assist users with peripherals like printers and devices.
• Support Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Log, track, and resolve tickets in a timely manner.
• Escalate issues to higher-level teams when necessary.
• Deliver excellent customer service with clear communication.
• Guide users through solutions step-by-step.
• Document common issues and solutions.
