Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Tier 1 Help Desk Technician to join our remote team supporting the DOE client. You will be the first point of contact for end users, troubleshoot common hardware, software, and access issues, and deliver outstanding customer service.

This position is fully remote, offering a competitive salary and benefits. Applicants should be US citizens with basic Windows knowledge and familiarity with IT ticketing systems, clear communication, and a readiness to document and escalate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of relevant IT experience.
• U.S. citizen eligible for DOE security clearance.
• Fundamental knowledge of Windows OS and hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and incident documentation.
• Experience with password resets, account lockouts, and access issues.
• Strong customer service and communication; able to explain solutions clearly.
• Ability to prioritize requests and follow IT security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line support for Windows desktop systems and resolve software/hardware issues.
• Assist users with printers, webcams, iPads, iPhones, and other devices.
• Support Microsoft Office apps including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Log, track, and resolve tickets in a timely, organized manner.
• Escalate issues to higher-level teams when needed.
• Deliver excellent customer service with clear communication and professionalism.
• Guide users through step-by-step resolutions and document solutions.
