Job summary

Optiv is seeking a Cybersecurity Advisor to design security solutions for client environments, focusing on Threat Management and related domains. The role blends sales and security practitioner expertise to advise on scalable programs across Optiv’s services and partner ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in information security, industry certifications, and strong communication skills to engage leaders. This remote role supports clients nationwide and travels as needed.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or equivalent and/or applicable work experience.
• 5+ years in information security focused on Threat Management.
• Expertise in Application Security Tools, Vulnerability Management, Threat Management/Hunting, Enterprise Incident Management, Forensics/eDiscovery, Threat Intelligence Platforms, Asset Management.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM, GIAC or similar preferred.
• Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive security services and technologies business to meet or exceed quotas with account teams.
• Understand client's security environment, operations, security needs, and risk appetite to map to Optiv solutions.
• Position Optiv services and partner technologies to deliver client value.
• Identify cross-sell/upsell opportunities and manage proposals and RFI/RFP responses.
• Maintain advisory relationships with stakeholders and stay updated on industry trends.
