Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Threat Detection Engineer to strengthen cybersecurity posture through detection development, monitoring, threat hunting, and audit readiness initiatives.

You will partner with Security Operations, Incident Response, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to improve coverage and response, while supporting audits with evidence and documentation. Remote EST, with enterprise-scale SIEM experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years hands on detection engineering experience, with SIEM rules at scale, scripting (PowerShell or Python) and detection content creation.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity roles spanning threat detection, security operations, incident response, compliance, or auditing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain threat detection and monitoring across enterprise environments.
• Develop, tune, and optimize SIEM use cases, rules, alerts, and correlation logic.
• Conduct threat hunting, investigations, and event analysis to identify suspicious activity.
