Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on detection engineering experience with SIEM rules at scale and scripting.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity roles (detection, security operations, incident response, audit).
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk ES, QRadar, Elastic).
• Experience developing detection rules, alerting strategies, and monitoring processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain threat detection and monitoring across enterprise environments.
• Develop, tune, and optimize SIEM use cases, rules, alerts, and correlation logic.
• Conduct threat hunting, investigations, and event analysis to identify risks.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Incident Response, Infra, and Cloud teams to improve coverage.
• Support audits by providing evidence and responses to requests.
• Evaluate controls and recommend enhancements for compliance and risk reduction.
• Align monitoring with regulatory requirements and security frameworks.
• Analyze logs from network, endpoint, cloud, and applications.
• Develop dashboards and reporting to measure detection effectiveness and readiness.
• Automate monitoring and reporting through scripting and workflows.
• Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation of controls and audit artifacts.
