Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IS or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on detection engineering with SIEM rules at scale.
• 5+ years cybersecurity experience in threat detection, security operations, audits or related.
• Hands-on with SIEM platforms: Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk ES, QRadar, Elastic Security.
• Experience developing detection content and building correlation rules.
• Knowledge of auditing principles, risk management & regulatory compliance.
• Experience supporting audits and auditor requests.
• Knowledge of network, endpoint and cloud security monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain threat detection and monitoring capabilities.
• Develop, tune, and optimize SIEM use cases, rules, alerts and correlations.
• Conduct threat hunting, investigations, and event analysis to identify threats.
• Collaborate with SOC, IR, Infra, and Cloud teams to improve coverage and response.
• Support audits by providing evidence, documentation, and responses.
• Evaluate controls and recommend enhancements for compliance and risk reduction.
• Align monitoring practices with regulatory standards and security frameworks.
• Analyze logs and telemetry from network, endpoint, cloud, and apps.
• Develop dashboards and reporting to measure detection effectiveness.
• Automate monitoring and reporting via scripting and workflow improvements.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation of controls, processes, and audit artifacts.
