Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Threat Detection Engineer to strengthen cybersecurity through detection capabilities, security monitoring, threat hunting, and audit readiness initiatives. This role blends hands-on security engineering with governance, risk, and compliance to ensure controls are effective and auditable.

You will design and tune SIEM rules, conduct threat hunts, collaborate with security, operations, and cloud teams, and support audits with evidence and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related field and 5+ years in threat detection.
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining SIEM rules at scale.
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell or Python) and detection content.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain threat detection and monitoring capabilities.
• Tune SIEM use cases, alerts, and correlation logic to identify threats.
• Conduct threat hunting, investigations, and log analysis across environments.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Incident Response, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams.
• Support audits with evidence, documentation, and audit responses.
