Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Threat Detection Engineer to strengthen our cybersecurity posture through detection development, security monitoring, threat hunting, and audit readiness initiatives. This role blends hands-on security engineering with governance, risk, and compliance activities.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining threat detection across enterprise environments, tuning SIEM use cases and alerts, conducting proactive threat hunts, and supporting audits

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on detection engineering experience, including SIEM rules at scale.
• Experience with threat detection, security operations, audit, or compliance.
• Strong scripting ability in PowerShell or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain threat detection across enterprise environments.
• Develop, tune, and optimize SIEM use cases, detection rules, alerts, and correlations.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and security investigations.
• Collaborate with SOC, IR, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to improve coverage.
• Support audits with evidence, documentation, and audit responses.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to measure detection effectiveness.
