Job summary

Optum is seeking a Therapist to join our team in New Mexico. This remote, contract-based role supports a flexible schedule, delivering short-term, outcome-based therapy to participants nationwide.

Qualified clinicians provide evidence-based care and collaborate with the care team while adhering to HIPAA and privacy policies. This position is remote from anywhere in the U.S. with compensation ranging hourly.

Qualifications

• Licensed clinical social worker or licensed professional counselor or equivalent.
• Eligible to enroll in Medicare or terminate opt-out before starting.
• Available to commit a consistent minimum of 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver remote care throughout a short-term, outcome-based, evidence-based program.
• Monitor participant progress, provide follow-up communications, coordinate care, and document session notes.
• Collaborate as a member of the care team to assist participants with accessing resources and obtaining consent/authorization forms.
• Identify and respond to high-risk participant encounters in accordance with company protocols.
• Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with supervisors, monthly team meetings, and Town Halls.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA Privacy & Security policies and complete annual training requirements.
• Operate as a 1099 independent contractor.
