Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking an Associate Test Engineer to ensure the quality of geospatial applications and Java microservices. You will design and execute test plans, develop automation, and collaborate with developers to improve products.

This role requires TS/SCI with polygraph clearance, a degree in computer science or engineering, and hands-on experience with geospatial tech, RESTful APIs, and performance testing using Selenium, JUnit, JMeter or Gatling.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Two years of experience in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; 4 years of TE substitution allowed.
• Certifications: ASEP (INCOSE) or DAWIA Level 1 TE/SPRDE Level 1.
• Experience testing geospatial applications, Java microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of geospatial techniques, analysis, and visualization.
• Proficient in test automation with Selenium/JUnit or similar.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and own test efforts.

Responsibilities

• Test planning and strategy for geospatial apps and Java microservices.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression testing.
• Conduct manual testing of geospatial analysis and visualization features.
• Perform regression testing to identify defects and ensure fixes.
• Evaluate performance of Java microservices and geospatial applications.
• Create and maintain test documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality and provide feedback.
• Identify, report, and track defects using issue trackers.
• Contribute to process improvements and stay updated on trends.
